If
you are looking for a program
that blends community service,
adventure travel, and cultural
exchange, as well as optional
language learning and homestays,
Global Works is for you! Since
1990, Global Works has been
providing exceptional summer
service adventures for
teenagers. More than just a
travel program, our trips focus
on meaningful cultural exchange
as our participants work, play,
and celebrate with families and
communities around the world!
Global Works offers programs to
a variety of amazing
destinations, and trip length
ranges from 2 to 5 weeks. All of
our programs include rewarding
community service, such as home
construction and environmental
work, as well as projects with
schools, children, the eldery,
and local organizations. Our
trips also include adventure
activities, such as surfing,
kayaking, SCUBA diving, hiking,
rafting, and excursions into
cities, towns, and markets.
Many of our programs offer
language learning in Spanish or
French. The immersion experience
starts with our bilingual
leaders, who organize fun games
and cultural activities in the
country's language. All of these
trips include a homestay
experience, in which
participants live with local
families for 1 to 2 weeks.
Global Works has been organizing
homestays for many years and
strives to provide safe and
healthy learning environments!
Global Works Group Leaders are
experienced adults (23 and over)
who organize and lead trips
according to our high standards
of quality, safety, and of
course, FUN! They have
experience working with
teenagers, living and working
internationally, and speaking
the local language on our
immersion programs.
